BABA ADEBOYE IS A FALSE PROPHET
By Akin Ojumu
By biblical standards, the RCCG General Overseer is a false prophet. Here is the receipt.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22
“But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’ – when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.”
At the last RCCG Crossover Service, Baba Enoch Adeboye claimed that the Almighty God specifically told him that:
“On the international scene, He said, the chance of a major war is less this year than in 2025.”
Well, here we are less than 3 months later, we are 10 days into a major war in the Middle East. As of this writing, preliminary fatalities in the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran stand at 1,255 dead in Iran, at least 13 in Israel, eight US soldiers and 14 killed in Gulf states. Among the Iranian casualties are 150 children who were slaughtered in the bombing of their elementary school in Iran.
Clearly, Baba Adeboye’s claim that God told him there’s a less chance of a major war in 2026 is either a lie or figment of his own imagination. God did not tell him anything. He has ascribed to God words that God has not spoken.
What all false prophets fail to understand is that claiming God said something when God has not said anything amounts to taking the Name of God into vanity which is a violation of the 3rd Commandment. Anytime we falsely attribute to God anything, we are taking His Name in vain. When we irreverently misuse the Name of God, we bring disrepute and dishonor upon His character.
Exodus 20:7
“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”
For those of you who will take umbrage at me for calling your idol a false prophet, take it up with God. Perhaps, if you have half as much reverence for God as you do for Baba Adeboye, you’d be as furious at the old man and his numerous false prophecies as I am.
