DADDY GO’S DADDY HAS MYOPIA
By Akin Ojumu
During the Crossover Service held on December 31, 2025, the RCCG General Overseer told hordes of his followers gathered at the Redemption Camp and multitudes watching online that his Daddy gave him two “prophecies” about global events for 2026.
Although Daddy Adeboye’s Daddy is not hundred percent certain, there are two events that may or may not happen on the global stage in 2026. One of these two events has to do with war, while the other is about the weather.
ON WAR
“On the international scene, he says the chance of a major war is less this year than last year.”
ON WEATHER
“As far as the weather is concerned, he says the pattern will be similar to 2025 except there is the chance of a couple of major hurricanes.”
Now, I don’t know about you, what struck me when I heard these supposed prophecies that Daddy GO received from his Daddy is their lack of specificity. They remind me of the blind man who, after being healed by the Lord Jesus, said, “I can see the people, but they look like trees walking around.” Daddy GO’s Daddy seems to be seeing the future as men looking like trees, walking.
Besides the lack of specificity, the other thing I noticed about the prophecies is their uncertainty. The RCCG GO’s Daddy seemed to be dithering and sounded unsure of himself. It’s like someone who is unwilling to be categorical or definitive in their predictions. He seemed to have loaded the prophecies with caveats and plausible deniability just in case they failed to come to pass.
I cannot recall a single instance in the Bible when the Almighty God seemed indecisive about the future. Nowhere in the Bible would you find a true prophet of God make statements such as “there is the chance of this or that happening.” You won’t find it there because the Creator of the Universe is not a prognosticator.
When someone says, “there is a chance of something,” it means that it’s possible for that event to happen, but it’s not a certainty, implying a degree of probability or potential, which can range from a slight possibility (slim chance) to a strong likelihood (good chance). It’s a way to describe an uncertain outcome, indicating it could go either way, and can also refer to an opportunity to do something (Source: Google AI).
Given the lack of certainty or clarity surrounding these things that Daddy Adeboye claimed his Daddy told him would happen on the international scene in 2026, it’s hard not to conclude that the GO’s Daddy is suffering from advanced myopia. This shortsightedness seems to be making the future appear blurry and, as such, difficult for the eyes of Daddy GO’s Daddy to see clearly. Such an eye defect most definitely requires prescription eyeglasses.
While this may sound comical to some, humor is the last thing on my mind. It is a sacrilegious thing to ascribe to God words that God has not spoken. Those who do so take the Name of God in vain, a violation of the third commandment. And to take the Name of God in vain is to impugn on His character, which, in itself, is an abominable blasphemy.
Exodus 20:7
“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
When the Omniscient God speaks, there’s no equivocation. The true God – the God of the Bible – does not prevaricate, and neither does the Ancient of Days vacillate. He does not do maybe or maybe not. The Omnipotent God does not lick His finger, stick it in the air, to see which direction the wind of future events will blow.
Isaiah 48:3
“I foretold the former things long ago; they came out of My mouth and I proclaimed them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.”
Isaiah 46:9-10
“Remember what happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and all My good pleasure I will accomplish.’”
Micah 5:2
“But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.”
A god that’s uncertain about future events is a false god. No true prophet of YAHWEH will tell you that there’s a “chance of a major war” or a “chance of a couple of hurricanes.” Only false prophets of false gods engage in such vacillations.
Isaiah 41:22-23
“Tell us, you idols, what is going to happen. Tell us what the former things were, so that we may consider them and know their final outcome. Or declare to us the things to come, tell us what the future holds, so we may know that you are gods. Do something, whether good or bad, so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear.”
Isaiah 44:7
“Who then is like Me? Let him say so! Let him declare his case before Me, since I established an ancient people. Let him foretell the things to come, and what is to take place.”
Anyone who believes that the Daddy GO’s Daddy is the God of the Bible is of all people most to be pitied. To even entertain such a thought shows how little such a person thinks of the Almighty God. Those who think that God will tell His prophet that “there’s a chance that something will happen” do not know God at all. Such individuals are idolaters worshiping an idol of their own making.
1 Corinthians 10:14
“Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.”
