COULD GOD BE AN ILLEGAL ALIEN ON EARTH?

By Akin Ojumu

As defined by Google AI, in the United States, an “illegal alien” (aka “undocumented immigrant”, aka “unauthorized immigrant”) refers to a non-U.S. citizen who has entered or remains in the United States in violation of immigration laws. This includes individuals who crossed the border without inspection, entered with a valid visa and then overstayed their authorized period of admission, or otherwise violated the terms of their entry.

In today’s America, illegal aliens are seen as bad hombres, the scum of the earth, and vermin of the worst kind. As far as good Americans are concerned, they are the offscourings of American society. These are godless criminals who are up to no good. Their singular intention is to destroy the very foundation of America, and their objective is to rip apart the fabric of American society. Driven by the vileness and rottenness of their soul, illegal aliens sneak into the homes of hard working Americans to eat the dogs, to eat the cats, and to eat the pets of the people that live there.

Well, what do you know? The Almighty God may actually be an illegal alien Himself. You see, anytime God invades earth and does anything without first obtaining the permission of the rightful citizens of the earth, God is violating earth’s immigration laws. When that happens, God is not any different from the criminally-minded and pet-eating illegal aliens who crawl under, or climb over, the big, beautiful wall along the southern border into the United States.

At this point, I know what you are thinking. You are probably thinking Akin Ojumu is off his rocker. Well, hold your horses, let me explain. The assertion that God may be a law-breaking illegal deity did not originate from me. It’s an idea that came from the mouth of the late Myles Munroe, that smooth-talking man from Barbados, whom many of you reading this commentary continue to revere and respect as an anointed man of God till this day.

It was Myles Munroe, in a conversation with Benny Hinn, another revered “anointed man of God,” who asserted with an unabashed chutzpah that God needs a valid visa in order for Him to operate on earth. Should He try to work on earth without a legal document, the Almighty God could be considered an illegal alien on earth.

For the sake of those who find it difficult to accept what their ears are hearing and in the interest of many who struggle to come to terms even with what their eyes are seeing, this is the video of the exchange between Myles Munroe and Benny Hinn. In the video, the two men could be seen agreeing that the Almighty God, indeed, requires a legal license from man in order for Him operate on earth.

For the intellectually lazy who will never click the link to watch the video themselves, here’s the transcript of the exchange.

Benny Hinn: “Pastor, we get the mind of God about His will. We pray it. When we pray it, we give Him legal right…”

Munroe completes the statement.

Myles Munroe: “…To perform it. Yes.”

Myles Munroe: “Let me define prayer for you in this show. Prayer is man giving God permission or license to interfere in earth’s affairs. In other words, prayer is earthly license for heavenly interference.”

Benny Hinn: “That’s incredible. That is incredible!”

Audience claps. Munroe continues.

Myles Munroe: “God could do nothing on earth…nothing has God ever done on earth without a human giving him access.”

To which Hinn injects.

Benny Hinn: “So, he’s always looking for that somebody.”

Myles Munroe: “Always looking for a human to give him power…permission. In other words, God has the power, but you got the permission. God got the authority and the power, but you got the license. So, even though God could do anything, he can only do what you permit him to do.”

The idea that the Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent God requires man to give Him access before He can do anything on earth totally contradicts what the Scriptures say about God. This gobbledygook coming out of the mouth of these two men is what happens when the opinion of men is exalted above the Word of God. It’s what you’ve come to expect from ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing hellbent on stealing, killing, and destroying. This high-sounding nonsense is nothing but the outpouring of reprobate minds.

Such an idea flies in the face of reality. If, as Myles Munroe and Benny Hinn suggest, all it takes for God to act on the earth is man’s permission, then how do they explain unanswered prayers? For instance, there are times in our lives when we pray for things to happen and the things we pray for never materialize. And there are other times when we pray for certain things not to happen and those are the very things that go on to happen. How does that fit into their preposterous drivel?

The asinine notion that the Creator of the Universe requires the permission of the things He created in order to operate on earth that He created is part of the ongoing pattern being promoted by folks in heretics movements such as Pentecostalism, Charismatics, Word of Faith, and New Apostolic Reformation. These people do this to elevate man to the status of deity while they denigrate God to the status of humanity. In this perverse worldview, man is sovereign, and God is subservient.

Leaders of these movements are known to teach that they themselves are gods. Many of their leading heretics, such as Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, Creflo Dollar, Steven Furtick, etc., claim equality with Jesus. In fact, Kenneth Copeland said as much in an interview on TBN many years ago.

“I say this with all respect so that it don’t upset you too bad, but I say it anyway. When I read in the Bible where he [Jesus] says, ‘I Am,’ I just smile and say, ‘Yes, I Am, too!’”

Thats right. Kenneth Copeland is the I AM that I AM. What a blasphemy!

Let me be clear. God is sovereign. He does not need the permission or approval of man to operate on earth. God does whatever He wants to do, whenever and wherever He wants to do it. Hes not sitting there on His throne in Heaven fiddling His anthropomorphic fingers waiting for man’s approval before He can act. This is what Scriptures teach. Here are just a few Bible verses that say just that.

Psalm 115:3
“Our God is in heaven; He does as He pleases.”

Psalm 135:6
“Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.”

Daniel 4:35
“All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”

If you didn’t know anything about Benny Hinn and Myles Munroe and you had no idea they are regarded as powerful men of God who are modern-day Generals of the Christian faith, you’d have thought these two men were atheists trying their uttermost best to besmirch God with their remarks. When you hear their claims in this video, you wont be far off the mark if you concluded that these two men are eternally damned.

Yet, I’m certain that many of you hearing or reading their remarks will, nevertheless, turn a blind eye. Instead of being righteously indignant, you are going to shrug it off and dismiss it as a nothing burger. Worse still, I expect your ire and angst to turn on me for daring to make an issue out of it in the first place. Rather than being alarmed and disturbed by what Myles Munroe and Benny Hinn said, it’s me who is calling out their irreverent babble that will end up being the recipient of your unrighteous indignation.

And the reason I expect such a response from you is because you’ve been deceived. Cocooned in the throes of trickery and marooned on the island of chicanery, your instincts have been programmed to rise up to defend people you think are anointed men of God rather than to condemn them for maligning God and bringing reproach to His name.

Knowing how you’ve been brainwashed and indoctrinated to respond, I’m not going to be subtle in telling you my opinion about Myles Munroe and Benny Hinn. I’m going to give it to you straight, what I think of these two men.

Anyone who holds the erroneous view that the Almighty God cannot effect His purpose on earth without man’s legal permission is someone with a rather low view of God and such a person has no regard for the Word of God. On both counts, both Myles Munroe and Benny Hinn are enemies of God.

Irrespective of what you may have been led to believe about Myles Munroe and Benny Hinn, these two men are agents of Satan secretly planted in the Body of Christ to do great harm. The claims they make in this video is a window to their darkened souls and proof of their evil intentions. Their assertion that God is impotent to carry out the purpose of His will on earth without the approval of man harkens back to what Lucifer said in his heart in Isaiah 14.

Isaiah 14:13-14
“You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’”

Like their master, Lucifer, Myles Munroe and Benny Hinn will be brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit of hell where they rightfully belong.
