THIS IS NOW A PANDEMIC OF THE UNVACCINATED ANARCHISTS

For some, it is the 3rd wave. In other places, it is the 4th or 5th wave. Whatever wave it is in your neck of the woods, this new surge of COVID-19, which is driven primarily by the highly contagious delta variant, is a pandemic of the unvaccinated anarchists and saboteur. Those getting infected, coming down sick, and dying, are mostly folks who have not been vaccinated. The new delta variant finds a welcoming home in places where the rate of vaccination is pretty low.

In a news briefing Friday, the Director of the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Walensky said the most recent seven-day average of new Covid-19 cases was roughly 26,300 – a nearly 70 percent jump over the previous average. New hospital admissions went up 36 percent to about 2,790 per day. Daily deaths edged up 26 percent to 211 per day – a sobering figure given that deaths appeared to be declining in recent weeks, Walensky said. (NBC News).

Last week, the average COVID-19 incidence was 11 new cases per 100,000 people in states where less than half of the population is fully vaccinated, compared to 4 per 100,000 among states that have fully vaccinated more than half its residents (CNN). More than 97% of the people currently hospitalized for severe COVID-19 infections were unvaccinated.

Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Missouri and Nevada – these 5 low vaccination states are the culprits driving the plurality of new cases in the US. According to White House coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients, just four states made up 40% of COVID-19 cases in the past week, "with one in five cases occurring in Florida alone." (CNN).

The COVID-19 vaccines are performing miracles. The Pfizer and Moderna, AstraZeneca vaccines remain potently effective at preventing symptomatic infections and hospitalizations. Yet, some folks continue to choose not to be vaccinated. Some of these unvaccinated people will tell you that getting vaccinated or unvaccinated is their choice. And their choice not to be vaccinated is informed – or shall we say, uninformed or ill-informed – by their desire to spite the godless-liberal Biden administration – (a case of cut your nose to spite your face) – and would not comply with anything that comes from an “illegitimate government of satanic worshipers”.  They relish in their fervent religious opposition to a “Demorat” socialist-communist administration of Sleepy Joe.

Because of these unvaccinated anarchists, COVID-19 restrictions are being re-instituted in localities across the US. Their ill-informed rebellion against lifesaving measures is setting us back and putting all our lives in danger. Businesses/economy will suffer, learning/education will be impacted, and many lives will be lost unnecessarily.

Los Angeles County public health officials are once again making face masks in indoor public places mandatory – not just advisable – regardless of a person’s vaccination status. The new masking order took effect last Saturday.

In Austin, Texas, the city government has raised the COVID protocols to Stage 3 because of the surge in new infections. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people are now required to wear masks at indoor and outdoor gatherings or while dining, shopping, and traveling. These high-risk individuals have been advised to avoid these activities altogether.

As long as we continue to have vaccine hesitancy and resistance in our midst, we will never be able to rid ourselves of COVID-19 and getting our lives back and returning to normal will remain elusive. And we all will suffer for it. If you are a knucklehead, the delta strain is coming to knock some sense into your head. So, it’s in your best interest to get the shot, because that’s your best shot if you don’t want the delta variant to knock you out.
