THE COMING WRATH OF GOD UPON A LYING CHURCH

God’s Message came to me:

Son of man, tell her, You’re a land (a people…) that during the time I was angry with you got no rain, not so much as a spring shower.

The leaders (the so-called “man and woman of God”) among you became desperate, like roaring, ravaging lions killing indiscriminately. They grabbed and looted, leaving widows in their wake.

Your priests (the pastors, bishops, general overseers, etc) violated my law and desecrated my holy things. They can’t tell the difference between sacred and secular. They tell people there’s no difference between right and wrong. They’re contemptuous of my holy Sabbaths, profaning me by trying to pull me down to their level.

Your politicians (the holier-than-thou who pretend to fight for my cause) are like wolves prowling and killing and rapaciously taking whatever they want.

Your preachers (the self-proclaimed prophets and diviners) cover up for the politicians by pretending to have received visions and special revelations. They say, Thus saith the Lord God, when the LORD hasn’t said so much as one word.

Extortion is rife, robbery is epidemic – even within the Church – the poor and needy are abused, outsiders are kicked around at will, with no access to justice, (…innocent black people are slaughtered on the streets by the police, children of immigrants are snatched away from their parents and locked up in cages, healthcare and welfare is taken from the poor and the needy, and the money given to the richest in the land…)

I looked for someone to stand up for me against all this, to repair the defenses of the city, to take a stand for me and stand in the gap to protect this land so I wouldn’t have to destroy it. I couldn’t find anyone. Not one.

So, I’ll empty out my wrath on them, burn them to a crisp with my hot anger, serve them with the consequences of all they’ve done.

BECAUSE JOB DIDN’T TITHE, HIS LIFE BECAME TIGHT

By Akin Ojumu Being the trust-but-verify guy that I am, while fact-checking a social media post by one of my High School friends, in which Bishop David Oyedepo was quoted to have linked the adversity of Job to his tithing habit, I was shocked, but not at all surprised, to find a 2019 video that did indeed confirm what my good friend shared.  In Bishop Oyedepo's telling, the real cause of Job's afflictions was his failure to pay tithes. According to him, God removed Job's divine security and allowed Satan to buffet him with calamity because the man was a habitual tithe defaulter. Because Job didn't tithe, his life became really tight. Here is the Bishop in his own words: “You can't see anywhere where Job tithed. So, his blessing was not secured.
