FALSE TEACHERS ARE GOD’S ENEMIES

Scripture establishes a clear, unyielding standard for truth: any teaching that contradicts God’s Word lacks spiritual light. 

Isaiah 8:20 emphasizes this across various translations, stating that those who speak against the Divine Law and Testimony have “no dawn” in them.

Isaiah 8:20 (KJV)
“To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them.”

Isaiah 8:20 (ESV)
“To the Teaching and to the Testimony! If they will not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no dawn.”

Isaiah 8:20 (NLT)
“Look to God’s Instructions and Teachings! People who contradict His Word are completely in the dark.”

Isaiah 8:20 (Amplified)
“[Direct those people] to the Law and to the Testimony! If their teachings are not in accord with this Word, it is because they have no dawn.”

Isaiah 8:20 is crystal clear: if a teaching contradicts God’s Word, there is zero light in it. Stop twisting Scripture to justify a “Daddy GO or “GS.” No amount of mental gymnastics can justify the twisting of the truth by your daddies and mummies in the Lord. God’s Word stands alone, and those who oppose it will one day answer to Him.

Distorting the Gospel to propagate erroneous doctrines – or to blindly defend human religious leaders – is a dangerous spiritual path. True faith requires aligning with God’s absolute truth rather than human titles. 

In the end, those who position themselves as enemies of God’s Word will face the ultimate consequences.

HEZEKIAH AND JOSIAH: A CONTRAST IN RESPONSE TO GOD’S ANGER

By Akin Ojumu This commentary is an exchange I had with a good friend of mine who was puzzled by Hezekiah’s callous response to the prophecy of destruction that was going to come upon his people and asked what I thought about it. My Friend’s Concern: The response of King Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20:19 puzzles me greatly. How does a father think this way? I tried to contrast it with Josiah ’ s response in 2 Kings 22:14-20 and 2 Kings 23. Josiah was promised a quiet death, yet he still acted! What made the difference? What’s the lesson here for me?
