A WORLD ON CLIFF’S EDGE

It’s less than 3 hours to D-Day. The entire world stands on the edge of a precipice. You better pray that the madman is put in a straitjacket and heavily sedated before he plunges us all down the ravine.

And for those of you with heads buried in the sand, or who assume that what’s coming will not affect you, you better wake up from your slumber to the reality of what potentially could happen in a few hours.

Wherever you are in the world, you must know that your future hangs in a balance. Whether you realize it or not, we are all wading in the hot molten lava of the volcanic eruption of the dark and evil mind of a vulgar, blatant, genocidal maniac. As of this moment in human history, we are all inhaling the fumes of the miasma of carnage and destruction emanating from the soul of a malignant narcissist.

I just hope that human history is not rewritten tonight. I pray that when we wake up tomorrow morning, it will not be to a world unlike we’ve ever seen in our lifetime. I sincerely wish this is just another TACO Tuesday.

May God help us all.

HEZEKIAH AND JOSIAH: A CONTRAST IN RESPONSE TO GOD’S ANGER

By Akin Ojumu This commentary is an exchange I had with a good friend of mine who was puzzled by Hezekiah’s callous response to the prophecy of destruction that was going to come upon his people and asked what I thought about it. My Friend’s Concern: The response of King Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20:19 puzzles me greatly. How does a father think this way? I tried to contrast it with Josiah ’ s response in 2 Kings 22:14-20 and 2 Kings 23. Josiah was promised a quiet death, yet he still acted! What made the difference? What’s the lesson here for me? My Own Response: Your perplexity is not misplaced.
