OREOFE OJO-LANRE: A TOUCH OF GENIUS

By Akin Ojumu

Those of us who aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer are suckers for brilliance. There’s this warm thrill of excitement that always runs down our spine whenever we encounter exceptional talents. You can imagine the exponential increase in the magnitude of the wattage of the titillation when the genius is one of our own.

Oreofe Anthonia Ojo-Lanre, Bachelor of Science, Mass Communications, First Class (Honors).

Now, that certainly has a nice ring to it – i.e., a certain je ne sais quoi. As it rolls over your tongue, there’s a beautiful mosaic that starts to take shape. When you then add the multiple awards for being the overall best graduating student in her field, suddenly a beautiful portrait of a genius springs to life.

(1) The Vice Chancellor's Award for the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Arts, Social, and Management Sciences.

(2) The Overall Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Arts, Social, and Management Sciences.

(3) The Professor Adeyemi O. Ewetade Award for the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Arts, Social, and Management Sciences.

(4) The Best Graduating Student in Mass Communications.

“Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” (Proverbs 22:29).

First Class Honors isn’t easy to bag. It takes diligence and dedication to achieve such a level of academic excellence. In a society given to quick fixes, easy solutions, and cutting corners, its exhilarating to find young people who are committed to putting in the shift and are determined to exert the drudgery necessary for success. Anyone who earns a First Class by the sweat of their brow deserves to be commended.

By virtue of her diligence and industriousness, Oreofe has set herself on a life course that leads straight to even greater victories and triumphs. Like a powerful magnet attracting precious metals, she has positioned herself to attract favors in the future. Her First Class Honors is a first-class ticket to the very top of the mountain.

The entire Commonwealth of Clara Aruntola celebrates Oreofe Anthonia Ojo-Lanre for her exceptional academic achievements. We are immensely proud of you for planting the flag of the Aruntola Commonwealth on the hills of Dominion.

Hearty congratulations!!!
