KIRK FRANKLIN “PRAYS” AT DAVIDO’S ORGY
By Akin Ojumu
Kirk Franklin was in attendance at a Davido’s concert – read that as orgy – which was held recently at the State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Perhaps seen as the chief priest and spiritual head of the cult of orgiastic entertainers, Kirk Franklin was the one who led the opening invocations.
In this video clip of the oblation session, Franklin can be seen invoking a deity, presumably “God,” to use Davido, an unregenerate sinner, to bring about revival in Nigeria. Hear the chief priest in his own words.
“And I praise you God for using Davido. Use him God. Use him to touch people. Use him to change the world. Use him to open up doors for the next generation. Use him to turn things around. Lord use him. No matter what he goes through, let him know that you got him, that you care for him, that he belongs to you. And because he is in your hands, no man can pluck him out. Father, I pray for a revival in Nigeria. I pray for healing all over the world. And I pray for the storms that the people in this room are going through now. Let everybody in this room remember that no matter how tight finances may be, no matter how dark the storm may be, that you will bring everything to pass. And they would be victorious, no matter what they face. Because they belong to you. In the name of Jesus I pray.”
To which I say, “Seriously, Brother Kirk???????????????????????????????????????????????????????” You are praying for a turnaround and revival in a show dedicated to the basest of human depravity? Really, Bro?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? What are you smoking????????????????????????????
If by a stroke of good fortune, I had the opportunity to run into Kirk Franklin, here are a couple of questions I'd love for him to answer. What sort of revival are you praying for, exactly? What would it look like, Sir, if I may ask?
Knowing the type of “Christian” Kirk Franklin is, and being familiar with his distorted view of who God really is, I’d surmise he had in mind a revival of full-blown debauchery, dizzy dissipation, in your face lasciviousness, and whatever you feel like wantonness?
And to all the Kirk Franklin's apologists out there who would see this and shrug their shoulders or twist themselves to pretzels in an attempt to Christianize Franklin's open rebellion against the Almighty God and clothe his hostility to godliness in a robe of Christianese, my response to you is the word of Paul to the carnal Church at Corinth.
2 Corinthians 6:14-16
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols.”
For many years many in the Church were fooled by Kirk Franklin’s professed Christianity. As much as I hate to admit it, I was one of the millions of believers who were duped into believing the guy was born again.
In our haste to embrace the man as a contemporary Gospel artist whose style of music is a breath of fresh air from the dull and stale style of Gospel music we were raised with, we all were lured into the bait of Kirk Franklin’s “sufe ntaka” modern-day Gospel music i.e., his up-tempo so-called radical music.
If you've ever challenged those of us who insist that Kirk Franklin is an unregenerate soul who has never met God, his presence at Davido’s orgy yet another proof for you. The guy is an unredeemed gentile who does not know God and has never met Him.
Kirk Franklin is a demon-possessed agent of the Devil. The man has done and said enough things to end the debate about the inauthenticity of his Christian faith. If you care at all about your soul, you’d have nothing to do with him and his spiritually toxic music.
