JERRY FALWELL JR: THE MAN AND HIS LASCIVIOUS WAYS

Jerry Falwell Jr, leader of the American Christian Conservatives, spiritual godfather and booster of Donald Trump, is certainly living large (ie “chopping the life of his head” - as we say in Nigeria).

Here is the man himself on a yacht belonging to his playboy billionaire’s friend, drunk as a sailor, a cup of what he described as “black water”...aka tequila...in his hand, with his pants zipper down showing his underwear and grabbing on to an almost naked woman half his age and who’s not his wife.

How’s that for the face of the white evangelical movement and enabler of king Cyrus, the chosen one? How does that look for the president of a Christian University where students are required to abide by very stringent dress codes and sexual relationships outside marriage is forbidden. How’s that for an example of christian living?

This man who goes about representing himself as the paragon of morality, champion of Christian virtue, and a defender of godliness needs to take a hard look in the mirror and examine himself.

May God help us to discern the wolves in sheep’s clothing. May we not continue to be misled by false prophets and false teachers in our midst. And may we come to recognize the hypocrites for who and what they are.

BECAUSE JOB DIDN’T TITHE, HIS LIFE BECAME TIGHT

By Akin Ojumu Being the trust-but-verify guy that I am, while fact-checking a social media post by one of my High School friends, in which Bishop David Oyedepo was quoted to have linked the adversity of Job to his tithing habit, I was shocked, but not at all surprised, to find a 2019 video that did indeed confirm what my good friend shared.  In Bishop Oyedepo's telling, the real cause of Job's afflictions was his failure to pay tithes. According to him, God removed Job's divine security and allowed Satan to buffet him with calamity because the man was a habitual tithe defaulter.
